We’ve seen lots of blingy baubles on the hands of famous women over the years. Some of the relationships have come and gone, but rings are here to stay forever.

Kate-Winslet gold ring

Kate Winslet showed off her gold wedding ring in London after tying the knot to Ned Rocknroll in December 2012.

The 37-year-old movie beauty was given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio as she wed her third husband.

The wedding was kept so secret that even Kate’s parents didn’t know about it.

Only some of the couple’s close friends and Kate’s two children from her previous marriages were present.

Kate met 34-year-old Ned shortly after breaking up with Louis Dowler.

Christina Ricci confirmed her engagement to James Heerdegen in January 2013.

Amy Adams was surprised when Darren Le Gallo proposed with a one-carat brilliant-cut diamond designed by Jean Dousset in July 2008.

The Moneyball star popped the question to his longtime love, with whom he has six kids, using a custom $500,000 16-carat sparkler in April. Together since 2005, the couple previously declared they wouldn’t wed until gay marriage was legalized nationwide but admitted to changing their minds earlier last year. “We’d actually like to,” Pitt said in January. “And it seems to mean more and more to our kids.”

Your jewelry accessory should be matched according to the color of your clothes. For example, gold jewelry goes well with dark colors such as black or burgundy. Silver jewelry works well with lighter shades such as white and pale blues. If your jewelry has gems in warm tones such as red, orange yellow, complement it with clothes in cool colors such as blue, green and violet.

Match your jewelry accessories to your face shape and the size of your face. For example, if you have a round face, select jewelry in elongated shapes such as diamonds. If your face is narrow, try hoop earrings. Wear diminutive jewelry accessories such as solitaires or those with simple designs if you have a small face. In adverse, if your face is larger, you can wear bigger pieces of jewelry accessories. If your neck is long, chokers or pendants can accentuate your neckline.

Pearls are known well because of  their elegance and beautiful. Also they have attracted women all through the ages and world. This article stresses on some important features that you need to consider while selecting pearl jewelry.

Basically there are 4 types of pearls:Tahitian, South Sea, Freshwater & Akoya pearls. Except for freshwater pearls all other type of pearls comes from oceans.  Sure, they are more valuable because of the quantity and quality.

We know that a pearl’s value is determined by its quality. Pearls are graded as A, AA, AA+, AAA and AAA+. The last two is the best.

Also, there are many other factors we should consider. That’s:

Nacre,  Surface,  Luster,  Shape,  Size and Matching,  Color

Pearl’s nacre thickness is the most important element we should consider when we buy pearl jewelry. Nacre is the key which decides how long the pearl will last. When a pearl’s nacre thickness is at least 0.4mm, it is best.

Luster & Surface

Luster is the amount of light which gets reflected from the surface of the pearl. Pearls with mirror finish, high luster and clean surface are more valuable.

Size & Shape

Pearls bigger than 7mm worth more money from us. Pearls are round in shape are considered most desirable.

But no matter what type of Pearl you want, whether they are expensive or not. If you love the style, you should buy it without hesitation!

You must see the 2013 oscar dresses for many times, BUT have you gotten a good close look at all of the sparkly accessories from the award? There were back grazing necklaces, arm parties decked with bangles galore, and enough rings. (have you seen Jennifer Aniston’s engagement ring).

Reese Witherspoon LV jewelryReese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon wore LV blue gown with LV jewelry.

Reese was one of the style highlights at the Oscars this year, for me at least.

The beautiful bold dress was carefully created in the atelier in Paris, and was so obviously fit to perfection. In addition to a great gown, Reese also had one of the best ‘dos of the night; shiny full cascading side-parted golden curls.

Diamond-studded Neil Lane necklace Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner was in studded Neil Lane necklace.

The actress carried a Roger Vivier clutch and wore Neil Lane jewelry and in a year when most of the stars on the red carpet are taking a simplistic approach to their styling, her $2.5 million worth of jewels and dramatic ruffles evoke the spirit of years past when opulence was more du jour.

Jennifer Aniston

Jen Aniston wears red valentino dress.

Minimal jewels, including geometric diamond earrings and bangle bracelets, along with a matching red Salvatore Ferragamo clutch completed the look.

Jen Aniston never wears her hair up on the red carpet, and tonight was no different with her effortless, straight blow-out. But I think this dress could have used a dose of pizzazz with a new ‘do.

Minimal jewels, including geometric diamond earrings and bangle bracelets, along with a matching red Salvatore Ferragamo clutch completed the look.

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

The young ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actress wore Dior Haute Couture for her big night, and the dress made a big impact.

Oscar best actress girl, wore Chopard Diamond Drop Earrings and necklace that flowed down her back, stunning.

ennifer’s flawless skin and subtle smokey eyes keep her makeup look fresh and young, which keeps the voluminous dress from aging her. I have a feeling people will be crying ‘wedding gown’ on this one, but I think it’s stunning and perfectly apropos for the occasion.

Which one you love most?

Amethyst, February Birthstone,Do You Know?

February will past in a few days. Do you know what’s February’s birthstone?

Amethyst! Yes, the stone with mysterious and luxury. The purple color and pure crystal material is the best part I love.

Amethyst is the birthstone for the month of February and the traditional anniversary gemstone for the sixth of marriage. Once considered more valuable than diamonds, this member of the quartz member occurs naturally as crystals within rocks. The stones are mined in Brazil, Uruguay, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Zambia, Australia and in the mountains of Russia.

Amethyst is purple quartz, which is silicon dioxide. The color may derive from manganese or ferric thiocyanate or perhaps from a reaction between iron and aluminum.

Amethyst was believed to help protect the wearer from becoming intoxicated. The gemstone is widely known as a symbol of peace and tranquility.

Amethyst was used as a gemstone by the ancient Egyptians and was largely employed in antiquity for intaglio engraved gems.

The Greeks believed amethyst gems could prevent intoxication, while medieval European soldiers wore amethystamulets as protection in battle in the belief that amethysts heal people and keep them cool-headed.[9] Beads of amethyst were found in Anglo-Saxon graves in England.

A large geode, or “amethyst-grotto”, from near Santa Cruz in southern Brazil was presented at the 1902 exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany.

In the 19th century, the color of amethyst was attributed to the presence of manganese. However, since it is capable of being greatly altered and even discharged by heat, the color was believed by some authorities to be from an organic source. Ferric thiocyanate has been suggested, and sulfur was said to have been detected in the mineral.
